Degree Aims
- Provide a sound conceptual basis in core Physics: classical mechanics, electromagnetic theory, quantum mechanics, modern physics and statistical thermodynamics.
- Transfer concepts and principles in the formulation and solving of representative physics problems and situations in different branches of physics.
- Devise appropriate experimentation to test scientific hypotheses and to demonstrate working knowledge on ethical conduct, practiced in the scientific enterprise.
- Gain awareness on the impact of physics on the socio-economic fabric and environment in a global context and demonstrate responsible conduct therein while demonstration of responsible citizenship, emotional control and ability to act beyond self-interest towards creating an equitable society.
