Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa has obtained the Full Accreditation to the Bachelor of Science Engineering Honours Degree Chemical and Process Engineering programme from Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). IESL is a signatory to the Washington Accord where the four year full time engineering degree programmes accredited by the IESL will be considered as substantially equivalent to four year engineering degree programmes that have been accredited by the other signatories to the Washington Accord.
Chemical and Process Engineering in a broad definition, is design and development of processes to produce, transform, and transport materials.
